Pipe Material Transition within Single Line

I am working on a system as part of a much larger project. I often have piping that transitions above and below ground, and often times, this requires a material transition per client requirements. For example, CS inside of a plant/above ground exterior to HDPE below ground.

Is there a way that I can tag a single pipe with breaks in material (say at a transition flange or a weld) along that piping without changing the line number of that pipe? If I have a single pipe that starts above ground, drops below ground to run some distance, and then ends at a piece of equipment above ground again, I don't want to use 3 different line numbers for essentially the same pipe.

That shouldn't cause any problems, Plant 3D doesn't make you change the line number it would just appear as a spec break assuming you change specs at the material changes.
