I am trying to use a PDF layout as reference back drop to route a line. The PDF gets converted to someting heavy that the system hangs. I am not able to scale the PDF after insertion. Is there a workaround to this workflow?

I don't have these problems when working with PDF references since P3D 2024-2026.
How was the PDF file created and with which programme?
Was it created with the original Adobe PDF Creator?
Can you provide us with this PPDF file so we can test it?

Hello Hartmut, have a look at the attached 2.5 MB PDF file. The file has markup that does not show up after the reference import. I am not sure how the PDF was created. It came to me. I have added scaled dimensional markup in Adobe Acrobat X.

Are you familiar with the alternative of using a .kmz reference? Not able to upload the .kmz here. Location: https://www.google.com/maps/@24.8001341,54.6898788,6279m/data=!3m1!1e3?authuser=0&entry=ttu&g_ep=Ego...

Plant 3D is not able to read the location info off the .kmz file. I have another post for this.

GEO data referencing does not make sense in Plant 3D!
Plant 3D cannot work with such coordinates.

It is not latitude and longitude of the map. The 0,0 has to be set at a point and the modelling shall be based on that origin. I managed to get the map referenced into Plant 3D.

my intent is to use the map overall as a back drop to model the pipeline. There is some scaling that is not doing right. I set the unit to meter for the dwg. But the pipe when modelled is off.

Please see the model file folder:
