Orthos annotations questions?

Hello colleagues,

I have some questions regarding annotations:

1) Is there option pipe lines / spools to be displayed in isometric view ( key plan ) automatically?

Something like this:

2) How can I annotates sections in orthos?

3) Is there option description to be added to already custom created parts, so this description to appears automatically in BOM?

Dear @popovUS9BY ,

1. No
2. What do you mean by "section" cuts through your 3D design or areas?

You can annotate sections through your plant in the same way as you annotate plan views or isometric views. We cannot set ranges for the annotation.
3. no

1. Someone recently pointed me this Plant 3D plugin ( OrthoGen | AutoCAD Plant 3D | Autodesk App Store ). Haven't tried it myself yet, but it might be worth looking into

2. As @h_eger said

3. Not sure if I understand your question completely, but you can alter the default BOM list and add extra fields. But it requires quite some steps and I don't have time (nor the interest 😁) to write a full step-by-step manual here. Suggest you search and watch some tutorial videos on YouTube.

Thanks for reply.

Sections I mean the graphic symbols for positions of cut planes.

Where you cut from and viewing directions.

1) What plug-in you mean?

3) Custom created parts do not have descriptions. When BOM is created, cells are empty.

Tuts on youtube always works, but when I try result is not the same 🙂

I do not use inches or latin letters, so everything is more interesting for me 🙂
