Open drawing and jump directly to an object from external link in Plant 3D

I have a very hot question about Plant 3D interoperability.

We need a way to open a Plant 3D drawing and jump/focus directly into an object element ( by id, name, tag or whatever), possibly using a single url .

Right now, we need to open the drawing and search for the asset name manually, that's a huge waste of time when you need to do this operation 200 times a day.

I've not seen similar questions in any forum or googling it

Any suggestion ?

The DataManager has some functionality but probably not quite what you are looking for. Using the API is the only way AFAIK.

If you've set up a .nwf in navisworks (manage or sim) and the .nwf directly pulls in the plant 3d .dwgs you can select the item and under the item ribbon click "switch back", this will open plant with the exact item in the exact same view... in perspective (you need to turn it off)... but it works really really well.
