Hi Guys,
I really need your opinion/advise on this matter.
I'm still looking for the best solution between Plant 3D and Cloudworx.
Our consultant is using AutoCAD Plant 3D but we didnt use use this software.
We use cloudworx and PDMS.
My question is, is it possible w convert from AutoCAD Plant 3D to Cloudworx with all the spec?
Or it would come dummy?
Is it Plant 3D is similar with Cloudworx? Is it very difficult compare to CLoudworx interm of modelling?
Many Many Thanks
Best Regards

CloudWorx (Leica point cloud software), or CADWorx (Intergraph piping design software)? Very different products.
Products from different software vendors don't translate well between each other due to the various ways objects are implemented. Something as simple as a pipe can be represented with a myriad of different techniques, and each of them is usually obscured from the casual user to prevent the program from being easily reverse engineered for bypassing the license. When there is an API available (such as with Plant3D) that can be of some assistance. But for piping it mostly comes down to the commonality of exporting a PCF file from one program and importing it in another, then fixing the result.
Opppss really sorry Mr Drogsman.
I mistake saying Cloudworx. Its suppose to be Cadworx.
This is because I only know PDMS and think about Cloudworx.
I will repost in the new thread than others can comment too..
Thanks anyway for your reply.
Many Many Thanks
