Need help with setting up backing ring/LAPed joint/...

Im trying to have a pipe with stub ends form a connection.

So far i tried with backing ring having different end types, tried to combine it with pipes with different end types and had no luck.

Tried also with LAP end type flange and was again unsuccessful.

As i understand Plant 3D i create simple joint LAP-LAP, check fasteners (gasket+backing ring) and that should work. Pipe having FL end type and backing ring FL/LAP ends. Except my best result so far was connection with gasket only, without flanges/backing ring.

In attached sketch is an example of what im trying to achieve.

Can anyone help me with that?

Dear @projektiva.d ,

Why so complicated?
The LAP connection is configured by default in Plant 3D.
Flange S1 = FL, S2 = LAP
Collar (Fastener) S1 = LAP, S2 = BV
Standard gasket and bolt set.

@projektiva.d Please use the pipe end BV / PL. and other settings for other components should be as per  @h_eger post.

Hello @h_eger & @rajendra.prajapat ,

Thank you for your responses. I was testing it and somehow it works. Unfortunately unless i manually insert flange i get buttweld connection. Its a fresh project, no modification to connections rules and setup components as you two said. Should i make a compound joint for this?

On second note, collar doesnt seem to carry any information to isos. Is that by design? I hope so since i get collar and flange overlapping.

Thank you for your assistance so far.

Dear @projektiva.d ,

Is your value for flange offset also entered in your collar?
Didn't you go through these topics in the training?

Hello @h_eger ,

Unfortunately im all self taught in usage of P3D and havent used it in a couple of years, so im a bit rusty with setup.

So i added offset, but that doesnt change anything in regards to auto flanges. I also noticed there is a weld now on isometric when there shouldnt be any.

So at the moment my setup is:

Simple joint: Default by plant

Compound joints: Default by plant

Flange S1 = FL, S2 = LAP
Collar (Fastener) S1 = LAP, S2 = PL

Pipe S1 = PL, S2 = PL

This setup partially works,
