Metric Imperial connection on branch connections, olets

Dear gurus,

I am working with european standards (DIN / EN) metric units. First thing is i can not find branch connections such as weldolets, sockolets and so on in those specifications. I guess they are not included under any european standard as they are  in MSS-SP standards.

Anyway i want to use them for small branch connections as instrumentation and so on.

As i can add them from my ASME Pipes and Fittings Catalog, in imperial units, and i try to connect to my pipe there appears the water drop.

The issue is that there exists by default a BV, PL mixed connection on the project but i guess this connection (olet one) is not intended as a simple joint and therefore is not working.

Could any one shine a light?

Thanks

Hi @sgalafatePMGER,

Try setting the Tap Joint to allow mixed units:

Thanks,

Thanks,

Just a last one, now the olet connects properly to the header, the issue now is the line going from the olet, now it returns me the same error that cannot connect parts. I though it should work with the mixed connection enabled that i shared on my first post.

Any idea?

Thanks again

Hi @sgalafatePMGER,

You will need a joint that allows Metric/Imperial connection for the Socket Weld.

Create a duplicate of the Socket Weld, but for the duplicate allow the Imperial to Metric Connection:

Thanks,

Dan
