Line To Pipe

Hi, Everyone

I am attempting to run line to pipe with slope and am having issues getting my centerline and the centerline of the generated pipe to match up, especially on the vertical to horizontal connections.

The picture below is a perfect example of how they don't match. This happens both when I run pipe without cutback elbows enabled and when I do have them enabled. When cutbacks are enabled it seems like nothing is actually happening in the model.

This second picture has been the only solution I've found so far. I ran the pipe with bends and changed the bend radius to the correct radius for my pipe size after running. While the model is now correct, the Iso BOM populates with bends and we, of course, need elbows. We often model pipes where bends with radii as large as 5D are necessary so we still need to be able to distinguish between bends and actual elbows.

Please switch on the system variable "DISPSILH" and regenerate your plant model.
Then please again this picture.

Hopefully this helps make things clearer

yes it does because it is only a graphic representation in the 2D display mode of the ACIS kernel.
It will also display correctly in shaded or rendered display mode.

Is it purely a graphical thing then? If I measure this there is a difference between the centerline that I drew and the centerline that was populated with line to pipe. But no difference if I run this as bends. The screenshot is in 2d for clarity but we have been running our pipe in 3d with slope and seeing this issue.

It's just a graphical display error in 2D mode

After checking for that I might have to disagree. There is a measurable difference from the endpoint of my line to the node of the elbow no matter which display mode I am in.
