Line Number Tag Unassigned on elbows or after valve

Hi everyone,

 

My first dive into P3D (2015 SP2) after working in P&ID, and I am struggling with linking the line number tag (pipeline group). I have the mapping all setup, but then I am running into a troubling issue. 

 

To begin, my lines do not show up in the "Line Number Selector", so I am using the "P&ID Line List" to pull my lines; no biggie. 

 

I get my line numbers to show up after routing pipe for linear runs, woo hoo!

But then at elbows the tag is lost.

Also, after I place a valve the tag is lost on the outlet side of the valve, but maintained on the inlet. The valve is pull from the P&ID Line List.

This is killing my isogen by line numbers. If you have any tips or came across this before, please provide me some guidance.

show us your TAG format in P&ID Pipeline Group?

Hi Hartmut and thank you for replying.

 

The P&ID acquires the Building Number, the System, and the Subsystem from attributes acquired from drawing properties. Only the line number is user inputed. Plant 3D Pipe Group is mapped to the P&ID values. I have also tried auditing the project, purging my cache, and looking up other who have had similar issues, but nothing has solved this issue.

Below is a documentary in your images.
Except for the tag format in the "P3D - Pipe Run comonent" everything is OK.
The TAG format under "P3D - Pipe Run Component" is not working.
A leader in the configuration is the "P3D - Pipe Line Group".
All information from the "P3D - Pipe Line Group" acquired in the classes "Fasteners" and "Pipe Run Component".

Hartmut, So the solution is to remove the custom tag and use the default tag? That would limit the usefulness of linking P&ID and P3D. Thanks, Dan

I did not invent this Strucktur, but it is of Autodesk Dev.
in the Document "Tailoring AutoCAD P & ID and Plant 3D.pdf" starting on page 71, the structure is explained in detail.

Everything is the other never shown in a training!
