Isometric Title Block Attribute Mapping Problem

I am having problems with Plant 3D not populating the title block after mapping all my attributes.

I've searched the forums and found people with similar issues but their answers haven't helped me.

I've looked in the isoconfig.xml and noticed that it is not populating any of the "Attribute Key's" under the <TitleBlock Symbol="Title Block"> node.

Any idea why this would be happening? Is there a way for me to sync my title block to Plant 3D to get those "Attribute Key's" populated in the xml file?

I'm not exactly sure what is happening, can you upload some pictures or screenshots?

I kind of got it working. It seems awfully complicated to do what I did though. I'm sure I'm missing something.

What I ended up doing was opening the isoconfig.xml of another template like the Check-A3 and manually copying and pasting the below into my xml file.

Under <TitleBlock Symbol="Title Block"> I added:

<Attribute Key="REVISION" Tag="REV" />           //This one to get the revision to come in.
<Attribute Key="PIPING-SPEC" Tag="SPEC" />     //This one to insert my spec in the title block.
<Attribute Key="Count" Tag="TL" />                   //This one to total the number of pages in the spool.
<Attribute Key="Index" Tag="SH" />                   //This one to tell me the current sheet number.

Making sure the "TAG" matched whatever my attribute in the iso template was called.

This is what I find weird though, when mapping attributes within the title block editor I could not see attributes such as "REVISION" or "PIPING-SPEC".

What's up with that? Also, my title block never seems to be able to generate a preview in the preview window but it can generate an iso preview no problem.

Not sure. Sounds like the changes weren't being written to the xml or to the .atr for that IsoStyle. Attributes can be finicky and at some levels they do not show up. It depends on where REVISION and PIPING-SPEC are located. Part level, project level, general, line group etc. IIRC drawing level properties do not come in unless mapped externally in the .atr file. Did you place them first and then map? You can't map unplaced attributes.

I'm still having problems getting the iso information to fill out.

From the looks of it everything is setup properly, I just don't get it...

As you can see in the first photo all the attributes have been placed.

In the second photo the two attributes that need to be mapped are mapped.

Third photo shows those two attributes captured and saved in the .atr file.

Fourth photo shows the IsoConfig file which shows the 2 attributes mapped and the others assigned to their respective attribute-key.

Am I missing something? Why doesn't this work???

I figured out why there were so many problems with P3D filling out my ISO title block.

It just so happens that this also fixes the issue of the title block deleting itself whenever going into "Setup Title Block..."

Apparently P3D can't handle the ISO Title Block having a visibility state in it. After I deleted it everything started working properly.

If you have this problem try deleting the visibility state, if the problem persists delete any other Action Parameters you may have in your block.

Very weird why it would act this way and also very annoying, let's hope this gets fixed.

I am the same issue what are you meaning visibility state?

Go into the block editor and check to see if your titleblock uses a visibility state.

Right click on your titleblock then click on Block Editor.

If you aren't sure what a visibility state is you can find information about it all over the internet through a quick search.

P3D 2018 was also released, maybe this version addresses the issue but I have not yet tried it.

I AM WORKING WITH P3D 2017 AND IT I HAVE NO VISIBLITY STATE SETUP IN THE TITLEBLOCK

I HAVE ADDED ATTRIBUTES TO THE 3D MODEL FOR EACH PIPE LINE THAT CHANGES THAT I ENTER IN THE MODEL. IT WAS WORKING GREAT AND THEN ALL SUDDEN IT STOPPED WORKING

That doesn't make any sense. There is a lot that goes into this and certain properties either don't map or map poorly. Without seeing what you have its tough to say. 

How many attributes do you have, what does the mapping look like?

I was struggled with title block disapearing until i discovered your post. In my case was a move parameter wich caused title block to dissapear.

In title block, don't use visibility or other partameters, only atributtes
