Isometric Dimensions Overlaping

When an isometric is generated with 2 or more supports on a straight length of pipe the isometric dimensions the first & last support from the wrong end which makes those dimensions overlap other dimensions.

This happens even if I create a new model so not a corrupted file. I have tried playing around with the settings but nothing seems to fix this issue.

This also happens in the standard plant3d isometric spec, such as 'Final A3' which I have not moddified.

Hi,

It's a defect with String Dimensions in the iso generator in 2022.

Regards,

Andy

Yes. I noticed that too in 2022.

Any update on this?

@jarrod.mudford , can you upload your isoconfig?

Is it just me or does this bug still exist in Plant 3D 2023?

My project setup iso dimension setting for supports:

mbevers_0-1660113715294.png

Generated isometric looks like this:

mbevers_1-1660113779253.png

Initial dimension on most right suspension support, is placed really weird/incorrect, as you can see below:

mbevers_2-1660114060421.png

We have about 300 lines to generate iso's from. Surely I hope we don't have to correct each isometric manually! 😥

Did anyone manage to find a proper solution for this?

Any of the moderators @joaquim.moral@Vicky.Wu,  @Tiana_Y@lim.wendy that can help maybe? (Sorry for tagging, but I really need help with this)

In theory, it has been solved in update 2023.0.1, according to patchnotes

I haven't tested yet

I'm afraid it's not, as apparently I'm already using that version:

Hi

I've tested it and worked flawless :

My string config is the same as yours

Before the update, it doesn't work.

¿Have you tried in a new project? Maybe the isoconfig is corrupted.

I hope you solve it, i've been  running plant 2021 until now becouse same reason

Regards

Ah! It works properly now!

You guys were right, I had to update Plant 3D 2023.

In my earlier post with the version screenshot, I just clicked the question mark in Plant 3D and selected "About Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D". But apparently that's not showing the Plant 3D version (probably only the AutoCAD version?)

Anyways, I had our IT perform the latest Plant 3D update, and now my isometric looks like this:
