Isometric BOM duplicates

Upon generating an iso the bom shows same category and size items split based on the plane they were modeled in. (horizontal and vertical) There are 2 instances of elbows (that are ELBOW, not BEND) as well as flanges and pipe behaving similarly. Previous editions and projects didn't reveal this issue and we are still using the same specs.

Main tips followed here: The same fittings are shown twice in the bill of material (BOM) of the isometric drawing in AutoCAD ...

I do not believe the item code was ever previously used. Upon looking through the catalogs this shows as blank information on the size tabs. I also didn't find any other mentioned troubles from the forums in the isoconfig file.

From everything I've seen, the solution seems to come back to the item code. Is this the way the bom generation is supposed to behave? Why did it start splitting items until an update within the past few months? Is the long-term solution for me to affix an item code to each of the component's sizes within the catalog?

@chrisGRQKN ,

What exactly was done in this update

I didn't read the patch notes. What I could find is old information about PLANTPCFUNICODE.

PLANTPCFUNICODE is only responsible for the display of special characters in the BOM texts.

I went through the spec editor and created item codes for all 'misbehaving' parts. This seems to be the fix/right thing to do in the first place.
