Iso symbols on Vertical pipes

Hello Plant 3D Specialists,

I've encounter a problem with Iso Symbols on Vertical pipes, supports symbols to be more precise.

After creation and mapping many Iso Support Symbols I figure out that during testing the same symbol is shown differently on vertical pipes in the same pipeline.

I've search through forum but it seems that no one have similar problem, could you help me?

Best Regards!

Check the direction in your properties for each support and see if they differ.

Are these supports created with Python scripts?

For now I'm during testing and tailoring everything connected with iso generation, so I've used built-in supports and I didn't saw any option to change direction of support.

To check direction, use the LIST command and see the Vector value.

Vector is the same for all vertical supports - 0,0,1.

Also check the PCF files. Example:

I've checked it all, and everything looks good, see attached screenshots.

this may depend on the direction of the pipeline. bottom to top or top to bottom

I've created another pipeline to verify that theory, and you are right - it depend on routing direction. As it turns out that also depend on type of iso creation method (Quick iso/Production Iso). Symbols that was correct on iso generated by Iso Production method appear as incorrect on iso generated by Quick Iso method and incorrect change into correct.

That knowledge is valuable but at the on of a day doesn’t change anything, because problem still persist, because routing only in one way up will be very very inconvenient, using two different symbols one for pipes routed from bottom to top and one for routed from top to bottom also sounds like way-around solution.

Do you have any ideas how to solve this issue in better way?

I think this should be added as a request for an idea. As far as I remember, in these blocks there is no support for dynamic operations, such as a mirror. That would sound like a workaround.
