Hi, when inserting ther FLOW ARROW in the 3D piping line the Isometric is dimensioning this point as it were a component.

In the isoconfig.xml file the session THEME --> DIMENSIONS --> DIMENSION TYPE --> EXCLUSION seems to give the answer to this point, but something is still missing to me.

Any help?

thanks

Hi Mauro,

With me everything works with Plant 3D 2017.1.

Hello!

In older versions it appears that Plant 3D Isometrics was considering the flow arrow to be a fitting.  This issue is fixed in newer versions, but I have not found older projects always update this correctly when migrating.  So, if it is not corrected there is a manual way to fix it.

You need to update the ISOCONFIG.xml and add the FLOW-ARROW component to the FITTING filter like you see below (look for red text at the end of the code for the portion you should add):

<Filter Name="Fitting" Value="NOT (Type = 'Pipe' OR Type = 'Gasket' OR Type = 'Flange' OR Type = 'Bolt' OR Type LIKE 'Valve*' OR Type = 'Olet' OR Type LIKE 'Instrument*' OR Type = 'Support' OR Type LIKE 'Elbow*' OR Type LIKE 'Cross*' OR Type = 'Weld' OR Type LIKE 'Tee*' OR Type LIKE 'Y-*' OR Type LIKE 'MESSAGE*' OR Type = 'FLOOR-SYMBOL' OR Type = 'FLOW-ARROW')" />

Hope that helps!

Jesse

Hi Eger,

when using IsoStypoe Check_A2 the FlowArrow is not dimensioned, whilst with an IsoStyle I've customized it is dimensioned.

i've check the isoconfig.xml  file in the section THEME (for all OVERALL, LOCATING and STRING area) and looking for the FLOW-ARROW parameter like you said but still it is dimensioned.

Any idea?

thanks
