Is osnap supported for a created custom part?

osnap does not seem to be supported for a created custom part in model space other than the specified ports.  Unlike a block or any other entity one can osnap to the geometry's  center, intersection, endpoint, etc.  Occasionally it would be helpful to be able to snap to this part geometry w/o exploding the part..   Am I missing a submenu or some other way to enable for this to happen?

Dear @Anonymous ,

unfortunately, the OSNAP function is only available to a limited extent for Plant 3D objects. This was hard-coded by the development team to avoid the complete chaos during pipe laying and cannot be activated either.

I understand the reasoning, a little, but trying to locate a custom part that has multiple nozzles (6) and not able to snap to centerline or edge is a pain...  Maybe as a suggestion, that when we create a custom part, a locate node or something similar can be placed that we can snap to, that will not affect the P3D snaps..
