inserting single flange

does anyone knows how to insert single flange without mating flange inserted automatically ..

http://www.pdoteam.com/2012/07/single-flange-insertion-in-autocad-plant-3d/ In addition to placing from palette, you can use command line options to place from the back of the flange.

Here's a video showing what the previous link talked about, basically, use the Next option when placing the flange to place from the back of the flange.

As above or just delete the unwanted flange!
