How to create Line Numbers Automaticly by Size, Service, Number & Spec

Forgive me if I explain this badly. I will try and tell you what I'm trying to get Plant 3D to do. As of now, when I number a line I manually type in what I want the line number to be. Ex; 6"-GMP-123-103 (Size-Service-#-Spec). Its worked out ok so far, when I have a size change in that line, like 6" to 8", I have to manually select that section and change the line number to 8"-GMP-123-103. This can become frustrating and time consuming during a large project so I'm trying to automate as much of this as possible.

This is what I'm looking for it to do is automatically change the line number size to correspond with the size change. I don't mind manually entering the Service-#-Spec part, but I would like it to automatically change with the size of the pipe. When selecting "Route New Line" I just want to enter the Service-#-Spec and have the size be dependent on what the size of the pipe is, so that Line Number automatically reads 6"-GMP-123-103 then if I place a reducer in the line, the line with the size change would read 8"-GMP-123-103 with out actually manually changing the line number.

I hope I'm making sense here. I've tried different tagging and its not just doing what I want, probably doing it wrong, hence why I'm looking for guidance. Super pat on the back if someone could help me out here or offer alternatives. Thanks.

what you want is simply easy, but making lines change as per size has its own flaws, but then, I will attach sample tag format for your reference of the matter. thanks
