How to change setting of Reference dimension (otherwise its a BUG)

Dear forum members ( and hopefully Autodesk is also looking here )

Im using reference dimensions for Isometrics now for the very first time.

Using Plant 3D 2018.

I placed a reference on the OUTSIDE of a COLUMN and NOT on the CENTERLINE.

The distance showed on the ISO is correct but the tekst next to it not.

It keep saying CL COLUMN which happens to be wrong and also not mesurabel in the field.

Since it is hard and somtimes impossible to measure from within the center of column i was wondering if this CENTERLINE tekst can be changed into OUTSIDE OF COLUMN or whatever.

And i do not mean changing the txt on ISO coz that is a nono.

Auto generated iso are by no means allowed to be altered, so thats out of the solutions here.

Are there any other ways to get the correct text automaticly or not?

Kind regards

The thing is, it is a reference dimension and not an actual dimension.

dear @Anonymous

Sorry for not formulating my question properly.

It may be a reference dimension in the end, but that does not mean that you need to hard code the text.

Measuring from column centerlines is the way it's done in the engineering office and in the field during construction. If you want to be able to measure from other reference points you'll have to keep track of all column sizes and trust me, that's just asking for trouble.

@cadPNYBN

I thought about it and i have to admit your correct

Sometimes in the field it is easier to just measure from the surface of a column instead of calculating for example the distance from center column to surface column.

but in the end taking centerline is the most common thing to do/use when engineering.
