How to add padding, or prefix/suffix spaces, to IsoStyle Rectangular Block Annotations?

It looks like the P3D Iso processor trims 'spacebar space' suffixes when added to Annotation Text variables.
So, using Unicode formatted like ' \U+0800' seems to be the best way to accomplish this when using the OOTB Rectangle Block.   Are there any other alternatives?

You can change the blockdefinition 'Annorect' in the IsoSymbolStyles.dwg

Here I added an extra 0.25 to each side of the rectangle

It's not perfect but it will give you more default padding, you can also change the padding on the top and bottom this way. If you want the padding to be added 'dynamically' your solution seems lowkey the best way.

All enclosed text annotations (like a BoM annotation) are in fact block definitions so if you want to adapt a different enclosed annotation you can find them in the same place. The actual block names can also be found in the isoconfig.xml

This means that in theory you can create your own blocks with attributes and use those in your annotations (I actually haven't done this before so I would need to test it to find its limitations)

Thank you for going down the 'block modification' path.  It demonstrates another method albeit HighKey.

If there is any other information on what can, and can not, be stuffed into the Format annotation key-value pairs found in IsoConfig.xml files please share.

There are probably some more capabilities that can be worked into this LowKey way.
Perhaps there is some sort of text padding method to address the tops and bottoms as you describe in the block modification methods.
