Editing Piping & Steel Catalogs / Using SQLite Expert Personal

Dear All,

Tailoring AutoCAD® P&ID and AutoCAD® Plant 3D white paper recommends SQLite Expert Personal as a tool to assist with Plant Admin.

I see this tool as essential to 'get the most' out of Plant 3D and to improve the efficiency of editing catalogues etc.

I'd like to hear feedback from users who have tried to edit:

1. Piping Catalogues  (i.e. mass change of components in a more streamlined fashion, merging groups etc)

2. Modification of Steel Catalogue which can't be edited the traditional way. (i.e. add weights, limit sections, change sections).

Does it work and what are the benefits?

I know this is unsupported, but none the less useful.

You may wonder why I'm asking? I'm trying to build some justification to request the software. (long story).

If the software is no use that so-be-it 🙂

The editing of Catalogen is with SQLite Expert or staff unfortunately only for the addition of data possible.

1. Piping Catalogues  (i.e. mass change of components in a more streamlined fashion, merging groups etc)

Change the masses you can do with the rest is not possible

2. Modification of Steel Catalogue which can't be edited the traditional way. (i.e. add weights, limit sections, change sections).

Change the masses you can do with the rest is not possible. Unfortunately there is no possibility of Autodesk to modify or add the Steel Cataloge.
