Data manager _ Valve location is blank area.

Dear All,

In data manager i was trying to locate a valve and some valve location is blank and not able to locate.

But data manager is showing the items in valve list.

May i know the reason.

Regards,

@rafimh2022 we are not psychic (although some of us can give a good impression at times) so please give us more information for this and all your future requests. It is always better to give us too much information then too little.

Can you check to see if all your layers are on? Use the LAYTHW, LAYON commands for this.

Hi Michiel.Valcke.

Yes, all layers are on. Still the same.

Are you sure the valve is supposed to be there. Could it have been deleted in the past?

Use the PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe to purge your database of non-existing objects remaining in the cache. You can find the .exe in your installation folder of Plant 3D. You will need to close AutoCAD Plant 3D to use it.

@rafimh2022 ,

in the data manager on “Show Selected Item” and select your valve to see if it is properly in the database.

Hi @Michiel.Valcke ,

Location is showing far from the 3d area. Not nearby means it was not there.

Thanks.

Hi @rafimh2022

I don't fully understand, you say it's showing, but outside the 3D area? Can you select it at that far away location?

Hi @Michiel.Valcke ,

What I mean is the blank area is showing far away from current 3d model (In the 3d file) and valve is also not showing just a blank area while selecting the valve from the Data manager. In the drawing area valve is not showing.

Thanks.

Can you make a copy from the drawing outside your project. Then remove the original drawing and do a 'copy to project' from the drawing backup? Make sure to run the PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe in between removing and importing the drawings. (See earlier post for the location)
