Data Manager not displaying in Plant 3D 2019

My Data Manager is not displaying. I used the Data manager icon in the ribbon (Home tab>Project panel). I also entered the command in the Command line. Is there a setting or something I am not aware of?

It is likely hidden offscreen.

- Type cui in the command line
- select the 3D Piping workspace
- expand Palettes in the upper right Workspace Contents panel
- select Data Manager
- Set the properties in the lower right panel
- Show = Yes
- Orientation = left or right
- Allow docking = yes

This should bring it back where you can move it.

Thank you, I was able to see the Data Manager. I think it was the offscreen issue.

Why is it that the Layer command opens a new window and it stays in focus when Plant 3D is in focus but the Data Manager window can hide behind other windows? Shouldn't the window behavior be consistent?

Those are tough calls for developers. Some users want dialogs to keep focus while others don't want it stuck in your face. A good example is the Ortho Generation dialog, which stays open all the time, and users would like it to be hidden. I'm sure if they made it hidden some users would have issues finding it to check the status.

As for layers, I actually prefer ClassicLayer over the new palette style.
