DATA MANAGER items not linked even after PROJECTAUDIT

In Data Manager, some items are not linked to a model (they dont open and zoom when clicked)

After PROJECTAUDIT, they are still present.   I dont know how to delete/purge them?  I dont even know what model they were/are in.

when i click a bonafide item, the zoom opens drawing and zooms ok,  just not on these phantom items.

is there another way to clear these items out (presuming they dont exist in a drawing)? or find what drawing these items are in?

Thanks.

Sounds like a "ghost component". I've seen this when a custom part had been
created using P3D catalog parts, yet not exploded done to the geometry
based solids...

Try finding a part not linked, open said related model, visibility set to
2d wireframe. Pick the part and delete it. Then do a cross selection of the
same area to see if grips show up.

If so, you'll need to remedy these parts. Can also relate to custom parts
created by another team member that didnt update or share modified specs
and or catalogs.

Hope this helps.

Thanks DavidCruze,  I have realised now the items relate to the pipe specs i deleted out of the project - and didnt realise it would to this to the items, still cant get rid of them now or even find out which model they are in.

David_Crows,

Possible solution #1
Audit Project from the Project Manager.

Type Plantaudit in each model (assuming you don't have a ton), other wise
write a quick script.

Audit Project Again.

Possible Solution #2
If you have a backup, or a similar project, copy and paste deleted specs
back into the project.

#3 - CAUTION- BACKUP PROJECT prior to attempting below:

Unorthodoxed, not knowing the complexity or anything about your project,
tagging, model management... you can always wblock a model out. Delete the
existing model, copy the wblocked model back into the project.

Good luck.

Thanks davidcruze,

"Possible solution #1"  "plantaudit" was very quick in each model, then Audit Project cleaned out most of the offending items.
