custom valve

I want to insert a flanged ball valve into a pipe but the face to face dimensions i need to change. Is this possible, i can change the hand wheel dimensions but not the length of the valve.

You can change the "L" value of the valve in the Spec editor and load the valve into the Spec. (Refer the image which i have attached)

If you like to create larger amount of plant content, I would suggest to create it through Catalog builder.

One or few contents could be created, by using custom part and modify the parameter in property dialog box. See attached images. 

Also we could add/modify actuators in properties window itself
