Convert to Equipment Dialog Box Empty

We have a few users that when they use the "plantequipmentconvert" command get a blank Convert to Equipment dialog box after selecting objects to convert.  It has been working until this afternoon.  Any help on this matter?  I have attached the images of the dialog boxes one showing as it should and the other showing blank.

Is this problem specific to some users, or is it specific to some drawings and projects?

Just to some users.

Ok, so something's not right on these workstations. It's possible that some component that Plant 3D, like a run time library, was changed. Repairing the install might help if that's the cause.

Another possibility there is a data problem on these workstations. I think this is unlikely, but there is any easy way to tell. Plant 3D stores a cache of data on the local machine to improve performance. You can try clearing this cache and seeing if that helps. Go to the place where you have Plant 3D installed and run this program: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Plant 3D 2011\PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe

Sorry that it took me a while to respond.  I had been out of the office.  I did a repair of the installation and I ran PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe.  I still have the same issue.  When I first select an object to convert and hit enter I do not see any dialog box and nothing happens.  When I enter the command again and select the object and hit enter I now will get the blank dialog box.

Peter,

I now have additional information.  I have narrowed it down to being project related.  When I create a new project and new drawing in that project the Convert to Equipment works as it should.  It is just in the one project.  Is there a setting within the project that would change this?

Have you tried running the utility PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe on all the machines that showed the empty dialog.

If you are still seeing the issue with this particular project; can you share the project with us.

Yes I did run PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe on all machines.  Looking into the properties of the project I noticed that under Plant 3D DWG Settings > Plant 3D Class Definitions, that there is nothing listed under there.

For me to send you the project, what all would you need?

You can zip the project and send it to me either by email [email protected] or you can upload to dropbox and send me the link. I will require all the project files. You can remove the drawing files or decide to leave them in.

Kris,

Glad to know that your issue is fixed and you are back in production with the workaround provided.

The root case for this problem was due to missing EngineeringItems table from your project. Copying the piping.xml file from a new project with same settings (and name) to your existing project worked. As always AuditProject is good ensure consistency in data and drawing entities.
