I am creating a P&ID for a university project in which I have been tasked with drawing a small BWRO plant in container units. I have to create a capex costing and have exported the valves lists, equipmetns lists etc. For the general valves the valves number is generated by autocad and I can assign the valve position and know the exact location in the drawing due to the unique number generated. For the Control valves the area and loop number identify the valve from the excel sheet I have exported, however this is out of the scope for the inital design. How can I assign a unique number as the loop number is from generating the control loops and I only have to show the control signals to and from control valves and motors. I ask this to also show the initial positions of the CV as some are open and closed due to block-bleed-block configurations How can I best go about this
