Hi, I'm having a problem in a piping file in P3D 2024 and I have no idea how to solve it
Whenever I try and route a pipe or orient a piping component, in every plane, my compass only snaps to the following angles
5°
80°
250°
270°
345°
Despite my compass snap angle being set to 5 and display angle to 10 and it only happens in that one specific file, I don't know what I might have accidentally changed for it to occur. My model is only a couple of metres away from the drawing's origin point
I tried:
Changing compass' snap angle and visual to various values
turning off/on again the compass
Activating and deactivating PLANTPIPESLOPE (I never use it anyway)
turning off/on again DYNMODE
Changing from paralel view to perspective/changing viewstyles
closing and reopening the file
Closing and reopening plant 3D
So I'm out of ideas, and needless to say, it makes it impossible to route new pipe

If it was me, since the issue is isolated to a single file, I would recommend creating a new file, copying the assets over, and deleting the problematic file. Make sure to create a backup first in case anything goes wrong. This can help bypass any hidden settings or corruption that may be causing the issue.

Dang, I just figured it out!
A little while, since my north wasn't in the right direction compared to reality, I tried going to UNITS then Direction...
And chose a base angle of "North 90" instead of the default "East 0". It didn't seem to have much effect, so I continued on.
little did I know it would mess up Plant's compass as well as the polar snap values
I turned base angle base back to 0 in the units>direction dialog box and it fixed it
