Center line in Orthographic view uneditable

When making an orthographic view from my plant 3d model, a line appears in the middle of the pipe that is uneditable. Usually I am able to hide this line by locating it in the layer properties, but this drawing generates everything on a single layer. Is there another way to remove this?

in the Layer Properties Manager there is a layer for each view with * _CENTER which can be switched on or off

This normally works for most of my drawings, but I'm not sure if the layers got merged somewhere along the line but turning off the center line hides the entire drawing.
