Catalog Editor Lengths

Could someone please tell me what is the difference between the two LENGTH parameters within the Catalog Editor as shown in the attached screenshot and how they used in a model?

Dear @Sonny_Dethier ,

1.) stands as a parametric value for the construction of the part
2.) is the value for the database and can be used in lists of Report Creator or Data Manager has no influence on the construction of the part.
