BOLT SET LENGTH

Hello,

We use PLANT 3D 2017 version with service pack and update.

Project mixte (ND imperial, length metric) with ASME Catalog

I created 2 mapping list in my ASME catalog (Metric and Mixte).

Update specification with mapping list.

See attached files.

Why the mapping has no effect in the length of the bolts.

Even changing the columns BoltCompatibleStd manually in PSPC file,

The bolt set length is not correct in isometric, data manager and report creator!

Thank you.

Best regards.

Hi Serge,

this sounds strange, but, please, check the table StandardBoltLengths in your spec (open there the pspc-file with a SQLite Editor). If you have to adopt here some things manually, follow the instruction of this old article as you have to adopt 3 tables.

Please, let us know.

Best regards

Bernd

  1. Creating a new STANDARD Make sure that Bolt size stays without symbol inch I mean ½ not ½”1.jpg
  2. Make sure that the BOLT Size (in Bolt Catalogs) is the same as in Bolt Mapping Standard.
The Bolt compatible Standard shall be the same name as Bolt Mapping Standard

  3. Important (Delete Previous Bolt Set) Keep sequence. First Create a  Bolt Mapping Standard and after copy the Bolts to SPEC.
  4. Though make sure that the flange thickness is also has the same value otherwise it will insert a shorter one again.
