Bill of Materials in Isometric drawing Modification

Hello,

Usually Pipe quantity is calculated by total length. Here I want to list out the flanged pipes based on the individual length. If i have 20' pipes in 5 numbers in the isometric drawing means it should show 20'' pipe in description and Qty should be 5. Please see the image for reference. Kindly advice.

Thanks,

Joshua A J

No, because I have to do my original work and we have a big project meeting.
If it is so urgent please contact Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D Support!

If it is a service we are ready to solve this problem for money.

Hi Joshua,

You can try a few workarounds I mentioned below.

1. You can try cut piece lenght table. It can be turned on in project setup. Adding them all up will give you the real total length of pipe.

2. You can try giving individual numbers for item code in 3D drawing can also give you individual lenghts in BOM. You can access it at properties of pipes. However it would be quite tedius. And it will  make your BOM list quite large.

Otherwise you need to change the code for your iso config files. Creating a dummy attribute which is SUM of every cut piece individual pipe in ISO. Then use that value in BOM. Sounds easy but very hard to do in reality.

Best regards,

Doruk Y.
