Beams not showing as solid object

Hiya, I'm designing a frame, first by creating the outline of the frame then using the member function to insert the  'L' shape steel work and using the line model to show the steel work. I can import the autocad drawing into ANSYS workbench geometry but when I try to import into design modeller in ANSYS none of the steel members appear. Only one solid object appears in ANSYS design modeller (photo below) which is the base extruded in autocad.

I'm not sure if there is something I should be doing in Autocad to make it a solid object or a function in ANSYS to convert to a solid object to be able to carry out anlysis on the frame in design modeller.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous,

change the display to SHAPE MODEL

Prepare for the import to ANSYS create a copy of your model with the command "EXPORTTOAUTOCAD".

Then import to ANSYS.

I think it should work
