AutoCAD Plant 3D vs AutoCAD MEP

hi, new here.

1 Which is the difference?

2 if plant 3d works with pipes, and MEP too, then why Autodesk create 2 different programs for the same work?

3 which is better for 3D cable tray?

here my doubt:

autocad plant 3d cable tray

vs

autocad mep cable tray

MEP: mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing, not just cable trays.
Plant3D: larger infrastructure projects and plants, not just cable trays.

If your focus is solely about cable trays/cabling and not much else, how about Microsoft's VISIO, the entire Cable Tray / cabling / Low Voltage industry seems to have standardized on that one for the lat 10+years now https://www.google.com/search?q=visio+for+cable+tray+design

If you want to really confuse things, Revit and Inventor also do Piping

BUT

if you want to do Isometrics, then Plant3D is the only product to use. None of the others do Fabrication Iso's
