Autocad P&ID and 3D, isometric

In p&id, I create a pipe, assign parameters to it, but when switching to 3D, the default value still remains, even with a forced redefinition, also when building isometry, the original value remains. That is, for example, the pipe has HC insulation, and in isometric view it shows AI.

I don't know if you already knew, but Plant P & Id and Plant 3D have no bidirectional connection.
So I suspect that this is why your problem arises.

So, you can only edit manually on an isometric drawing? With a large number of blueprints, this is a big waste of time.

can you provide us with the project with a test drawing so that we can eliminate this error at least try to do this?

Dear @elinaiskhakova ,

 

What about an administrator training course for Plant 3D?

 

- P&ID pipe class assignment from the pipe segment to the pipeline group does not work this results in a circular reference in the database.

 

- All selection lists that are used in P&ID must also be created identically in the P3D section. There is no automatic connection.

 

- It must be ensured that all selection lists that should not have a direct assignment of the values are set to 0 in the project configuration after editing

 

- in 3D no pipe classes are transferred via the P&ID linelist, therefore no proper processing (see above)

 

So this for now, I don't want to get any further because I could spend the whole day with that, but unfortunately I don't have the time

Here's the thing, as a fabrication document iso's are not typically run until very late in the project.  At the very least, there should have been multiple reviews/HAZOPs, clash checks, and so on so changes would be minimal.  Not always possible, there's always a few things which slip through checking, but it will only be a handful of iso's.

 

They're also a low-edit drawing, even if they're butt-ugly (older generation ISOGEN output was not exactly pretty) they should be modified as little as possible.  Ideally there will be no manual edits after generation; not always possible, but I've gotten close with drawings that only required some manual touch ups by junior drafters (some text work, title block stuff, that sort of thing).  When there's a last minute change in a few lines, they get entirely fresh iso's rather than editing an existing iso.
