Auto flange and attach flange

I have created several custom valves and regulators from STP files provided by the manufacturer. I went through the usual process of making them a block, adding ports and then adding them to my custom catalog. I can auto add a flange to 1 port of each of them but not to the second port of any of them. They all have 2 ports defined & I checked the "All Ports have the same properties" on the Connection Port Properties frame, being a FL End Type and RF Facing. The class is correct. When I click the plus to route pipe I get the error "Cannot connect parts. AutoFlange-" Auto Flange.jpgWhen I attempt to attach a flange to the same end I get this error:

I gather it has something to do with the facing of the port but I set them both to the same. The pressure class is the same for both ports as well.

I found the issue but can't figure out why the catalog editor shows 1 spec while the part in Plant 3D shows another? I exported the catalog and it shows S1 as FL, RF and Class 300, the catalog editor shows the same. The editor shows S2 the same but the properties of the imported part in a P3D files shows S2 as FL, no facing and no pressure class. That's why it won't autoflange or accept a flange but why does the editor say 1 property while the properties show another? I removed all the catalog items from the spec, saved it, inserted the catalog item back into the spec, then copied the spec into the shared folder. It seems the spec file retains an old setting for the items, from when I first created them.

I found the problem, the check box for making all connection ports the same doesn't work. It shows them as the same but they store as NULL. I changed all the second ports to something different, saved the part, changed the second port back to FL, RF and saved it and they are all correct.

I had the same issue with threaded valves that should have stored as both ports THDF but the second port stored as BV, even with the box checked to make all ports the same. I changed the second port manually, then changed it back to THDF and the problem stopped.
