Assigning Slipon weld as a Field Fit Weld

Hi,

I need to assign a Slipon weld as a Field Fit Weld. I had modified the Shop/Field property of Slipon weld to include FFW. But while generating isometrics, It is neither showing the FFW symbol nor adding the pipe makeup length as it does for Butt weld. Can anyone please help me on this.

Thanks

Vasu

Hi @Vasu27,

Please, try this:

1) before you property changes (Shop/Field etc.) purge you Plant Application starting "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20XX\PLNT3D\PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe" cliciking on Purge button (this action clear your Plant3D cache).

2) after, open your Plant3D application, change the properties and re-generate your isometric.

Att,

Antonio Leonardo

Hi @Vasu27,

Please, add one step after clear cache:

Export again the PCF file after changing the properties.

Antonio Leonardo.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I tried an other way around. I had modified the 'Slip-on weld joint' setup by replacing the fastener 'Slip-on' with 'Fusion-weld', and it works now.

Thanks

Vasu
