Alfa Laval valve creation catalog

I'm trying to create a valve catalog for Alfa Laval valves and am not having much luck.  I've watched the class by Harold Monk a couple of times but I can't seem to get the catalog created.  I have downloaded the BPE catalog and there is no pcat for the valves.  Has anyone had luck with this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am creating multiport valves one at a time at the present time.

@wayne.oglesby just to verify are you aware that valves and compatible piping are available from content packs in the Autodesk App Store? For example, the Pharma content pack (which contains SS304, SS316L, and Alfa Laval valves) and Tuchenhagen content packs are available for download.

You can also select multi-port valves in the Plant 3D Shape Browser to place custom parts.

Here is the link to the Autodesk App Store that takes you to the Plant 3D Specs and Catalog content.

Quentin, Thank you for the reply.  I have downloaded those catalogs and use them but I was actually looking for a way to create the valves dynamically in the tool palettes to have them work in the same way as the fittings.  The video I watched a few times by Harold Monk seems to have been set up that way.  And evidently I don't have enough information in my spreadsheet to accomplish this.

@wayne.oglesby yes, you are correct that it appears in the video that you need to ensure you have complete information on the excel file in order for it all the work correctly.

Also, I am not sure which version of Plant 3D you are using. Harold Monks AU class was prior to the release of AutoCAD Plant 3D 2017. The release of Plant 3D 2017 included Multiport Valves as a new feature.

Quentin,

Sorry I haven't been able to get back with you, I am using Plant 2019.

Thanks,

Wayne
