3D Clean surface

Good morning,

 

Currently i am drawing 3D blocks valves to add to existing catalogues. In one of the valves i created a profile, then i revolved it and i utilized to substract that shape from another solid, so this way i am creating more complex shapes.

The thing is that i revolved the same profile 2 times an the result is very different, the first time resulted in a clean surface, the second time was a more framed surface, this is a problem because i need clean surfaces to consume less memory so this way all the elements inserted in the project are going to consume less Mega Bytes.

 

I attach an image to explain more accuratedly this problem, the profile that i am revolving is in the middle of the image (magenta colour), the first clean revolution is in the left of the picture (green colour), the second revolution with more frames is in the right of the picture (yellow colour).

I would appreciate a help to solve this issue.

Dear @MONTECINOS ,

 

This is not a problem but a representation of the solids.
Isolines
Dispsilh

etc.
are variables to change the representation of the solids.
(ps. this has nothing to do with the memory size of the solid!)

Thanks for your answer.

But still i don´t know why 2 revolved solids from the same profile have different properties

The REVOLVE properties (Geometry) of this solid are not available

However, in this case the REVOLVE properties (Geometry) of this solid are availables.

 

Both solids come from the same profile

for some reason unknown to me, the green solid was converted from Revolve to the native 3D solid using some editing function.
This should have no effect on the overall functionality.

The mystery is not unsolved!
Check with Spatial, the manufacturer of the ACIS kernel used in Autodesk products.

 

What about AutoCAD 3D training?

The recorded history of your solids will have an effect on the space they take in your documents. Use the BREP command to erase a solid's history and the command SOLIDHIST can be used to stop recording solid history at all.

According to the commands SHOWHIST and BREP i didn´t know them, those are a very good tip, they are going to be very usefull for me.

I work in a enterprise that design Reverse Osmosis Plants. When we carry out in Navisworks the final assembly of all of the buildings, equipments, pipes, fittings, elements of the areas and so on we have to be carefull of all of these elements to be the less frame as posible because it gets diffcult to manage, for example to rotate a view of the final assembly get diffcult and sometimes the programm stops in this process, it depends on the quantity of elements inserted in the final assembly. 

Currently i´m drawing valve blocks and later i´m going to insert the in the catalogues, so by using the commands that you talked to me before the valves are going to be lighter and consume less memory in the projects.
