Last posting for a while I think. I went back and rechecked this in comparison to AutoCAD. The behaviour is exactly as I expected:
- In AutoCAD, with DYNMODE set to 3, I can type l (for line) pick a point and then enter @10,10. AutoCAD draws a line.
- In AutoCAD Web, I do exactly the same and I get the ‘Invalid input’ response. Okay, I could click in the command line each time I want to use relative coordinates or point filters, but that means I have to move the cursor, click and then move the cursor back to where it was, which is all extra work.
My question to Autodesk Customer Support was "Why not just let AutoCAD Web function like AutoCAD and accept the relative coordinates and point filters in the dynamic input box?".
The reply was "I understand your point of view and that it can be frustrating to select the command line in order to be able to input relative coordinates, but as of now there is no other option to do it. The development team is aware of this and whatever or when or in what form they will implement an improvement to it I cannot tell you."
