How can I turn off lasso window selection?

I came back to my project and found out that I'm using some kind of lasso selection. It dost not longer draw rectangle for selection. The lasso thing makes me confused as I don't get how it selects the objects and I'd like to switch it off but have no clue how. It tells something about pressing spacebar when I click and hold but spacebar does nothing. Trying searching help and google and no luck

Greetings @martinEXSJV

LASSO, by design, is triggered only when you hold down the mouse selection button for one whole second instead of just clicking and releasing. Is your mouse's button getting sticky and you need to replace it?
Or are you "behaving" differently for some reason (I catch my self doing it if I was on a different software that worked this different way).

Look up this in HELP is you wish to remove that option forever (if an option in the WEB version, I did not try it).

This problem happened to me  apparently when I changed the computer (from one chromebook to another).

I typed the command and put the 3 options, but nothing happened, I am trying to get used to the lasso selection now.

The rectangle is only visible for a small fraction of a second, very annoying :o(

In AutoCAD Web and selection can only be made using lasso, I will be happy to help you resolve this issue.

The cause is this issue is due to the fact that the Selection Settings are se to Web Standard.

In order to fix this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Settings Icon at the top right.
  2. Go to the Preferences tab > Selection Settings.
  3. Set it to Desktop Standard.

Left click less than a second, do not click and hold, that will bring up lasso?
