AutoCAD on the web - How to turn off Grid/Snap in Web app?

It is almost impossible to edit a drawing in the Web app when the drawing turns the snap on. The editing cursor hardly moves on the drawing. I do not have an AutoCAD Desktop app to turn the snap off. Any way to work around?

Watch the commandline as you type GRID then <enter>, click on the SNAP option to deactivate (same action to activate).

Thanks for your reply. I have tried to use GRID command to turn SNAP off before, but it is not working. I have turned off the GRID and SNAP by using GRID command this morning. Unfortunately, when I issue a RECTANGLE command, the editing cursor jumps around almost impossible to draw the box. Any other ideas?

I am unable to replicate your issue here in my own files. Sorry.

Hi there.

Jeremy from the AutoCAD design team here. I see your issue. The drawing was saved with SNAP on, and once you're in the web app, you can't turn those snaps off. Is that correct?

The AutoCAD Web App doesn't currently have a way to toggle the SNAP sysvar. I'm looking into a fix or a workaround. Sorry for this inconvenience. Will let you know!

Thanks for your reply! I will wait for the Web App update to turn the snap off.

I would like to upvote this solution. This is critical to our workflow and potential adoption of Docs and Web. The GRID command has the SNAP control but as you say it does not allow you to turn off Snap. Instead, it resets the Grid setting to 0.0000 which seems to be a bug.

A "workaround" was offered above: change SNAP setting in the source desktop AutoCAD then re-appload to WEB.
