Exporting/printing from AutoCAD for iOS and sending to Formit

Hello

I have two questions:

1. When will it be possible to export a file as anything other than .dwg and either save as a .pdf or print directly from the app?  At least six months ago I was told on this forum that it would be possible soon, in a new version to be released.

2. When will it be possible to open files created in AutoCAD mobile in Formit?  Not even Formit Web accepts .dwg files (maybe the paid version does, but that's way beyond my pay scale).

Is AutoDesk trying to force people to pay for a subscription in order to be able to use these two apps to the fullest?

I was asking about whether there is any thought of ever making it possible to export .pdf or other file formats or to allow printing from AutoCAD Mobile or to be able to transfer projects to Formit for iOS.  I'm not asking about specific release dates, just following up on a promise made in this forum over six months ago.  Is there any general information about any of this?  Thank you.

Hello Fred @Anonymous

I understand your question and that you are only following up on something that was written in an older post. I would probably do the same just to see where we stand. Due to the fact that situations and priorities might change, those information about new features are normally not shared - maybe the way the information was shared left space for a bit of hope. I understand that this might happen sometimes.

Additionally to this, I would like to share something else: When you open this link of the AutoCAD Mobile forum, you will see also a section called "AutoCAD Mobile Ideas".  Users can share their ideas there and other users can vote for the ideas and share additional information. Based on this new features might find their way in future versions of the app.

For all questions and ideas regarding Formit, please follow this link and ask the experts there. They might give you more information why a dwg can not be opened in Formit - this forum is only about AutoCAD Mobile.

Could the information provided help you and answer your question even though it does not provide the requested functionality?

If yes, please click on the "Accept as Solution" button as then also other community users can easily find and benefit from the information. If not please dont hesitate to give an update here in your topic so all members know what´s the progression on your question is and can suggest next steps that might be helpful for you to achieve what you´re looking for.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hello Thomas

Thank you for this information and advice.  I did what you said and posted my "grief" on that forum.
