2018 iPad Pro Announcement Inquiries

I was wondering when the full AutoCAD version drops for the iPad Pro since I am thinking about purchasing one but since it is expensive and I want to use it for autodesk I want to know how it works

i have seen the mobile edition and think that apart from using it for small things it cannot help me

it can’t even 3D design

I also need a quick answer to that question

thanks

There is no answer from Autodesk to that over the top marketing statement from Autodesk: buy a laptop and use desktop AutoCAD (Windows or MacOS) if this is a 'quick' need.

So I found the source of the confusion for every: you read way too much into it I suspect, here is the official annoucement https://blogs.autodesk.com/autocad/autodesk-brings-core-desktop-engine-autocad-ipad/

Let's break it down:

- "Desktop Engine": geek speak for the back end, which you will never see or touch, is what AutoCADMobile is built on.
- " leveraging the same core engine": marketing speak for we are pulling a fast one on you.
- "So it feels just like the real desktop version": honesty at last, it's not desktop AutoCAD, it is still AutocADMobile you see today.
- "thoughtful... selective... seemless..." means nothing in the end, this is a page filler.

Then look at the dang screenshot: IT IS AUTOCADMOBILE AS IT EXISTS TODAY!

Hope that helps decipher that myth you thought you heard. Good luck.
