How to modify/setup the layers, lines & color from default of autocad mep (MV part, piping & other system) base on our standard MEP discipline?

Thanks,

Hi Eugene,

Please try following steps;

1. command: AecStyleManager
2. Select "Multi-Purpose Objects"
3. Select "Layer Key Styles" and select the style " AEC Title Case - NCS 256 Color"
4. On the right pane>>Select keys
5. Looks for the object type (e.g. Pipe) and change the color or linetype.

If you have already inserted the objects, you may change the layer color in the layer dialog box.

Hope this helps

Hi Eugene,

Please see below steps;

To change the color of an MEP object.

1. Select the object>>Right click and select "Edit Object Display"
2. Switch to General Properties
3. Change appropriate color
4. Click OK.

For Layer key settings:

1. Open AecbLayerStd.dwg from C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\MEP 2018\enu\Layers
2. Make changes to Layer Key standard file (As per steps provided in the first reply)
3. Save and close the AecbLayerStd.dwg drawing
4. Open a new drawing
5. command: AECDWGUNITSSETUP>>Switch to layering Tab
6. change the default Kayer Key Style to the custom Style created in Step-2
7. Enable "Save As Default" option at the bottom of the dialog box
8. Click OK.

Hope this helps

Hi Eugene,

We always suggest making a copy, should need arise in the future to use the default style or if the existing style gets corrupted for some reason.

Hope this helps.

Sir Sridhar,

Since our previous discussion in style manager setup everything was working, in this regards I have 3 question listed below;

1. I was created the layer "WALL-EXISTING" as per attached style manager.png it is ok?

2. In a model space, workspace settings switch into architectural because I created plan "WALL-1 (Existing)" & "WALL-2 is a (New)"

    but I can't find/default my created layer "WALL-EXISTING" set into to the object "WALL-1" as existing? As per attached model execute.png

3. As per my attached model execute.png "wall-1 & wall-2" how to change the color of hatch section base on my style manager setup?

Thanks,

Eugene
