Hidden Lines NOT Showing Up

Hi! I have setup a mechanical floor plan where couple ductwork are crossing. In my main mechanical floor plan (M-Plan), hidden lines for ductwork crossing shows up. However, I have that M-Plan referenced (Xrefed) to a different file (M-Sheet File). In my M-Sheet File, those hidden lines for ductwork are not showing up. They show up as a solid line. Is there a way to fix this? Need my hidden lines showing up on M-Sheet file as well. Need answer ASAP. Thank you.

Hi @anjali.patel ,

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this please try the following to see if either suggestion helps resolve the issue:

  • Type LTSCALE at the command line and increase the value. Start with an increase of 20x the current setting and increase from there until you see the linetypes appear properly. The value of LTSCALE may need to be different if the source drawing and the current drawing are not at the same scale or units. For example, if a drawing using decimal feet is xref'd into a drawing with imperial inches, LTSCALE will need to be much larger.
  • Alternately, if CANNOSCALE varies between the drawings, set them to match. Change the annotation scale of the drawing which looks incorrect so that it matches the drawing with the lines displayed correctly.

I hope this helps!

Hi @Tiana_Y Tiana! Thank you for your response. I do have both Plan and Sheet files at different scales and units. Unfortunately, that is the way we are able to set up sheets due to different way architectural had set up their floor plans. I tried solving the problem using the method you suggested; however, I'm still having same issue. LTSCALE didn't change anything.
