Drawings only render on part of the screen

Hey guys

I'm getting AutoCAD set up on a new computer, and any drawing I open will only display my model on the top left corner of the window. it doesn't matter what drawing I open, it doesn't matter how many viewports I have open.

After some poking around it looked like it could be a graphics card issue, I'm running with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, (and all my monitors are 3840x2400) I double checked my settings to make sure AutoCAD is defaulting to that graphics card, you can see the spikes in the screenshot from where I zoomed in and out on my model. It doesn't look like I'm pushing the card that hard... I'm running out of ideas on things to check. I noticed my RAM could be better (I'm sitting around 60%) but ultimately, nothing seems to be overloaded to cause this glitch. I also feel obligated to say: I've restarted my machine several times, and this rendering issue is consistent

I've been messing with this for a couple days now and I'm running out of ideas, any insight would be appreciated.

Update: I changed the scale % in my system/display settings and I learned that this glitch is only happening when the scale is set to anything except 100% (though interestingly, the amount of visible screen doesn't change regardless if I'm looking at 150% or 200%, for example)

the problem, of course is that this "fix" breaks every other program on my computer by making all text microscopic. there are other ways I can restore text size on most of the other programs I use so this is workable, but man is it a lot of backdoors to work around what was originally just an AutoCAD problem
