Repair AutoCAD Mechanical 2022

As there seem to be several elements missing from my AutoCAD installation, how do I go about doing a repair?

I've tried going to add remove Programs, selecting AutoCAD Mechanical and clicking on Modify, but it doesn't give me the option to repair.

Just out of curiosity, I had to check myself with the repair option.

I went into Programs and Features. Then selected change for AutoCAD Mechanical 2022. After it runs its course I received the indication of "All components installed". Was this your experience?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm seeing.

It may be that I have to select Uninstall instead of Modify to get to the repair bit, but I'm a bit hesitant to do that for obvious reasons.

What elements do you think are missing exactly in MECH2022? Be specific please.

I believe these are the options peterm is referring to. (Circled at bottom) Also, I noticed the same with other applications between 2021 and 2022 versions.

I don't seem to have anything relating to the content manager.

I was hoping to make use of some of the standard parts that are supposed to come with Mechanical.

Hi Pendean.

Thanks for that. However, there is no option to repair AutoCAD either under Modify or under Uninstall.

There is however a tool to reset AutoCAD to its default settings, but this will then remove all my customisations and third party software.

So.. do you want to fix the issue, or just move on without it?

We all make the time and effort to backup all of our customizations since we all as users know that when AutoCAD decides to hiccup you risk losing everything. Do you not have a backup? Now is a good time to do so.

I think you skipped over the last link I provided in my previous reply. It is time for it I suspect.

I think I'll just leave things as they are. It's not affecting my productivity.

I was just curious to see if there was a quick fix.

I do have backups, it's just that the bolt-on custom software we use is very old and can be a bit temperamental to set up.

Hello,

The Repair and Reinstall options have been removed for the 2022 products. 

If you want to install the content, you can check this article to get back the Standard content.

You can change the value of 0 to 1, to get back the Content, as it will be already installed.

Unfortunately AMOPTIONS is also an unknown command.

Okay. I have re-installed AutoCAD Mechanical from fresh.

I have set everything up as desired, saved my menus and saved my CUI.

Now if I open AutoCAD mechanical and then load my CUI, everything is as it should be.

However, if I set AutoCAD to start with my newly created CUI, I don't get any of the Mechanical stuff and the opening page is missing stuff like the "New" button.
