Hi Expert team,

Is it possible to create iso view from 2d View in AutoCAD just like we do in Inventor ? There are tabs in Inventor like Parametric and Content which talks about constraints and FEA along with views from Inventor in Home tab.

So if I have 2d drawing can I project views ?

Thanks for help in advance.

Regards,

Yash

Hi Yash,

In Mechanical you can do it using the drawing views, type AMDWGVIEW and check the following. Will this help you ?

Hi Vinod,

Thank you. I will work on it. If you create 2D projected views, how can other feature be shown ? Usually in 3D package like Inventor the model is in 3D so when you project, all feature are shown in 3D iso view. But if I draw just rectangle and there are cuts or hole in other side, how does 3D projected view show it ? Do you import model from Inventor using base view ?

Yash

Hope that helps.
