Language converter not working in 2015

I've tried several times to use the language converter in acad mech 2015 to convert english to spanish.  It's not working.  I've followed the directions in the help menu and when I hit translate it is still in English.  Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

Hi @Anonymous,

That sounds very frustrating! A couple things you could check are the updates for AutoCAD Mechanical. For AutoCAD-based vertical products there will be 2 updates to install, one for the vertical installation (in this case Mechanical), and one for core AutoCAD.  Updates are available for Microsoft Windows-based AutoCAD and AutoCAD-based vertical products through your Autodesk Account under the Management tab, in Product Updates.

The other thing you could check is whether the language pack you need is installed. Download and install language packs.

Please let me know if this helps. A

Thank you for your reply and if I had a lot more drawings to convert I would definitely try your suggestions.  As it turns out after spending 4 hours trying to get the language converter to work with no luck a co-worker showed me the Google language translate tool which worked very well.  I was amazed that after it converted phrases I could drag and drop them into my drawings and they would come in at the correct font and text height.  That was pretty cool.

Again, thank you for your reply.

Hi @Anonymous,

You are quite welcome! I am sorry to hear you worked with it so long, but really glad that you were able to use Google Translate and copying the results in preserved the font details. I did not realize you could do that either, so that one will go in my "toolbelt" as well.

I've marked your post as the solution, Big Thanks for coming back and sharing it with the community.
