Inventor Server Fails to Load - Viewbase Command

Hi,

I am using AutoCAD Mechanical 2015 - SP1 (64-bit) from Product Design Suite 2015 on Windows 8.1

When trying to initiate Viewbase command, it returns with the statement "Inventor server failed to load"

What is the fix for this issue?

Hi David,

The problem may have different causes. Please check the followings:

• The messages could indicate that some of the DLL files in the C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20xx\Inventor Server\Bin folder are missing or corrupted. Firstly, repair or reinstall the product.
  
• It could be because the drawing was created from other application such as Autodesk Inventor. Can you first check if it can be re-created as an AutoCAD DWG? Or, can you try EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command?
  
  
• Do you have any other AutoCAD Mechanical releases and have you installed the hotfixes?

I uninstalled the suite and then reinstalled the suite with all hotfixes/service packs and this seems to have fixed the matter.

So all good.
